Our Tibetan Culture

With the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile located here, Tibetan heritage is deeply woven into daily life. This includes monasteries, festivals, crafts, and language.
Dharamsala is a major center for Tibetan culture and Buddhism, often referred to as "Little Lhasa" due to the large Tibetan refugee population and the presence of the Dalai Lama. The city is a vibrant hub for Tibetan traditions, including its unique blend of Buddhist teachings, art, music, and festivals.

Our Cultural Festivals

Local Himachali fairs such as Sair, Shivratri, and Minjar are celebrated alongside Tibetan events like Losar (Tibetan New Year) and Buddha Purnima.
